This is Oak Hill

5-day, classical Christian school in Gwinnett County Georgia, located in Dacula, currently offering grades K4-8.

Cultivating wisdom, joyful learning and love for God and others.

At Oak Hill, we want to see children grow into young people who engage the world with wisdom, learn with joy, and act in love for God and others. Our classical and Christ-centered educational program, which we pursue in a covenantal relationship with students and their families, is a tool for cultivating these virtues.

As a member school of the Association of Classical Christian Schools, Oak Hill is one of only four classical Christian day schools in the greater metro Atlanta area and the only such school in Gwinnett County that offers high school programs. Oak Hill is accredited by the Georgia Association of Christian Schools (GACS). Please see the FAQ page for answers to many common questions.

Our Mission

The mission of Oak Hill Classical School is to provide an education that cultivates wisdom, joyful learning, and love for God and others.

/ˈkəltəˌvāt/ verb 1. prepare and use (land) for crops or gardening. 2. try to acquire or develop (a quality, sentiment, or skill).

The word "cultivate" is included in our Mission Statement because that is how we view education- preparing students for life outside our walls, utilizing the knowledge and skills they acquire, in every facet of their lives; developing their hearts and minds with a Biblical worldview. We desire for our students to be life-long learners, and that begins with pursuing and cultivating zeal for understanding the world God created and their place in it. Our aim is to cultivate graduates who are gospel-oriented scholars: reading, thinking, acting, communicating as they grow in wisdom, joy, and love for God and others.

In order to fulfill our mission, Oak Hill provides families with an education that is both classical and Christian. It is classical in that it draws deeply on the rich heritage of Western civilization and culture; it is Christian in that it recognizes the Bible as the final authority in all matters of life and thought. Students are nurtured in the idea that the Christian faith is the integrating principle for all of life.

Additionally, Oak Hill strives to function as a covenantal community in which students are respected as unique individuals created in the image of God, each with special gifts and needs. Gifts are from God (James 1:17) and given for the benefit of the body or community to the glory of God (Romans 12). They are taught by skilled and knowledgeable teachers who love children and are dedicated to helping them realize their highest potential – spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, and creatively.

Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom. Esteem her and she will exalt you; embrace her and she will honor you. She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor. Proverbs 4:7-9
